The UAE’s unwavering commitment to sustainability required that every element of COP28’s infrastructure reflect its climate vision. ALBADDAD was entrusted with delivering 28,000 m² of modular smart structures within a sharply compressed timeframe while adhering to world-class standards of safety, accessibility, and environmental stewardship. The challenge was not only to build fast but to engineer responsibly — ensuring that every component, from HVAC systems to modular panels, supported circular construction principles, minimal energy consumption, and compliance with UN sustainability codes and UAE’s Green Building Regulations.

Our Solution

ALBADDAD executed the project with precision and speed, leveraging its ISO-certified systems (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001) and in-house manufacturing expertise to complete 28,000 m² of modular smart structures in just 42 days. Each element was engineered for reusability, safety, and environmental harmony: Energy-Efficient HVAC Systems: Reduced carbon footprint through advanced thermal management and eco-cooling design. Reusable Modular Structures: Wall panels and flooring designed for full recyclability and easy reassembly. Accessibility-Compliant Design: Integrated pathways, ramps, and zones following ISO 21542 standards for inclusivity. Integrated Safety & Fire Systems: Fire detection and emergency setups designed under UN and UAE compliance codes. Through this approach, ALBADDAD delivered a venue that not only met sustainability goals but also embodied innovation and architectural elegance.
